My beloved mentor and teacher and the founder of Media Ecology, Prof. Neil Postman, passed away last Sunday. I and scores of us whose lives have been profoundly touched by him attended his funeral this morning. The funeral service was held at Parkside Memorial Chapel in Queens, New York City.
Here's some updates from his personal assistant in the office:
"Many of you have asked where you can send notes of condolence and other remembrances. The family asks that you send them to The Postman Family, 140-35 Beech Ave, Flushing, NY 11355.
Flowers are not customary. If you would like to make a donation in Neil's name, the family asks that you contribute to the Neil Postman Fellowship set-up here at NYU."
